First I want to say I have bought these treats several times for my furr babies and it’s their favorite.I did not want to put this in a review because my intention is not to put down. There is no where on Amazon where I could ask a question to company who makes these treats. That is why I am doing it here. This last batch I purchased the softies were anything but soft. They are almost like a biscuit. Which my littles guys cannot chew through. I was disappointed because like I said this was their fav snack. I just want to ask if there was a change in recipe? and if so this will be my last bag ? for them and move on. In no way am I bad mouthing company. I just do not want to keep buying and they are not really soft chews anymore. I am positive bigger furr babies will love them ?This is an average treat, and my dogs do like it. I only purchased this, because it advertises "They're great for older dogs, small dogs, or any dog with a sensitive palate looking for a little nibble." I assumed that included older, small dogs with no teeth. My dogs can gobble up Pup-peroni sticks and Canine Carryout sausages, but since Canine Carryout has discontinued the sausages, I wanted to give our dogs something else besides just Pup-peroni. When I gave it to the dogs, they tried but could only gum the pieces and drop them on the floor. I had to pick up the slimy things and break them into pieces for them first. I will not be buying another bag for that reason. If your dog has teeth, though, these are good average treats. My dog Kooper, a full-sized poodle, loves Blue Dog Bakery treats. When I hold two different dog treat bags in both hands, Kooper nose-nudges the Blue Dog every time. He is becoming predictable. Oh that tail wags. These biscuit treats are by far our two basset hounds favorite treats. When we mention "Softies" to them, they fall apart. If we need an incentive to get the stubborn pups to do what we want, these treats will work like a charm. By the way, one of our bassets is 12 and the other 9 months old.My dogs love the flavor and I don’t have to worry about them chocking on them because they are soft. Good for training as well because they are easy to break apart in to smaller pieces.Generally my dogs love these!!I am a regular customer. Unfortunately, the last batch I bought are really hard. :( I have such little dogs that its hard for them to chew if they are not soft. But if you have big dogs, they will LOVE THEM.I use these to reward for training, I break them up, as they are a bit large. My dogs keep coming back for more! My picky eater loves these, and she is hard to find things for.My senior dogs have had a lot of teeth pulled and can’t chew hard treats. These are soft and easily chewed, and also easy for me to break into smaller pieces. My dog likes these! He is fussy over the type of treats he gets. Beef not so much, chicken, peanut butter and cheese is his loves. These have peanut butter and a soft chew. He likes 4 please!
