An essential for the julbord (Christmas buffet). Originally a specialty from the Swedish province of Värmland, and called Varmlandskorv, this sausage is made from potatoes, onions, pork and beef. Now known in the USA as potatiskorv, potato sausage is traditionally served warm at Christmas but is also enjoyed warm or cold all year long. Potato sausage has a use or freeze by date on the package. The sausage is always kept frozen and is shipped frozen and is good for one year past the date on the package.
