I think Amazon should separate the reviews for the corn stripper and the Hassleback Potato Guide. This review is about the Hassleback Potato Guide.This works very well. It is sturdy enough to get the job done. I do have a couple of tips.1. Do not use a serrated (jagged edge) knife. That will cut into the plastic base. Use a sharp chef's knife.2. Do not try to push the prongs into the potato with your hand. They are skinny, they have to be, and they will bend if you do it that way. I took a wooden spoon and tapped lightly on the handle, increasing force until the prongs started to sink in. You only need to have it in about 1/2 inch or so and then you can start cutting.When you are done cutting and need to pull the prongs out, hold the potato down with the flat of your knife to prevent the potato breaking.If the potato is bigger than the prongs are wide start at one end and move towards the other as you finish cutting the first end.
